ELECTION RESULTS 2013

The legal voters of the Town of Salisbury are hereby warned and notified to meet at the SALISBURY COMMUNITY SCHOOL on Monday, MARCH 4, 2013 at 7:00 PM  to transact the following business:

Article 1:    To act upon the report of the Town Officers as submitted by the Select Board. ACCEPTED

Article 2:    Shall the Town authorize the Town Treasurer to receive all taxes on or before the date of delinquency? YES

Article 3:    Shall the Town authorize the Select Board to borrow money in anticipation of taxes if necessary? YES

Article 4:   Shall the Town apply the General Budget surplus from the current year, if any, to the next          fiscal year before setting the tax rate? YES

Article 5:    Discussion of Articles to be voted by Australian ballot on  March 5, 2013.

Article 6:    To transact any other business which is proper to come before said meeting.

The Town Meeting shall recess until 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013, to elect the following Officers and vote on the following Articles by Australian ballot. The polls will be open in the TOWN  OFFICE 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Article 7:   To elect Town Officers for the following:
Collector of Delinquent Taxes        1 year term ELOISE CRANE
First Constable                1 year term KIM SCHROEDER (write-in)
Grand Juror                1 year term VACANT (no candidate)
Lister                    3 year term KARINA KUCZYNSKI-LUCIA
Moderator                            1 year term WAYNE SMITH
Select Board                3 year term JONATHAN BLAKE
Select Board                2 year term TOM SCANLON
Town Agent                1 year term VACANT (no candidate)

Article 8:  Shall the Town authorize the sum of $189,915.00 to defray the General Expenses of the Town for the fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014? YES

Article 9:  Shall the Town authorize the sum of $390,878.44 for Highway Expenses of the Town  for the fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014? YES

Article 10.  Shall the voters designate the Town of Salisbury as a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) District under 24 VSA 3261, et seq., and authorize the Select Board to enter into an agreement with Efficiency Vermont under which Efficiency Vermont will be authorized to (a) administer the PACE home energy improvements program on behalf of the Town, and (b) arrange for the provision of financing to participating property owners through the PACE program, provided that such financing does not require any indebtedness to be incurred by the Town? YES

Article 11 : Shall the voters appropriate $66,235.00 to be raised by taxes to the following organizations as shown:
(1)    $32,000.00 to the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department? YES
(2)    $500.00 to the Salisbury Historical Society? YES
(3)    $750.00 to Salisbury Little League? YES
(4)    $1,000.00 to WomenSafe, Inc? YES
(5)    $750.00 to the Open Door Clinic? YES
(6)    $325.00 to Hospice Volunteer Services? YES
(7)    $1,400.00 to the Addison County Parent Child Center? YES
(8)    $750.00 to the Addison County Humane Society? YES
(9)    $1,500.00 to Addison Teens and Friends, Inc.? YES
(10)  $1,700.00 to Addison County Transit Resources? YES
(11)  $1,310.00 to Addison County Home Health & Hospice Inc.? YES
(12)  $325.00 to Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)? YES
(13)  $800.00 to Elderly Services Inc? YES
(14)  $1,350.00 to the Counseling Service of Addison County? YES
(15)  $1,350.00 to HOPE (formerly Addison County Community Action Group)? YES

      The Town Clerk has posted all of the numbers- this was intended to just provide the outcomes.
